Missouri State celebrated Veterans Day on Nov. 11 with a variety of events that were free and open to the public, including a recognition breakfast for all Veterans and their guests. The annual “Taps” Project was also held to honor fallen service members.
Dozens of trumpeters from the Pride Band and the community spread out across campus to play the composition “Taps.” The music has a cascading effect because each player starts a few notes later than the preceding trumpeter. Those in hearing distance are asked to stop and wait for “Taps” to be finished before moving about campus.
Missouri State is committed to being military friendly.
